Digital voice for your home.

Digital voice, what’s it all about?

Digital voice, or VoIP, connects your home phone through your router and uses your broadband connection to make and receive calls. With the advent of the BT Switch Off, everyone, whether they are residential or business users will have to make the change to a digital phone service. Digital voice has many advantages over the old analogue system, but crucially you will get clearer calls and it will typically be cheaper than your fixed landline service.

How it works.

Digital voice uses the internet for communications and it is coming to everyone whether you like it or not because BT/Openreach are turning off their traditional PSTN network all over the UK by the end of 2025.

This should be a good thing because traditional analogue phones are restricted to a specific location, i.e they have to be plugged into a wall socket connected to your BT phone line. That’s great if you never leave the house! But we all go out, we go to work, we go to the shops, we go to pick the kids up from school, we go and do some gardening, we go out! Well wouldn’t it be better if we could receive those calls to our home phone wherever we are?

Yes, of course it would. In these days of mobile phones, digital communications and the internet there is no reason to be unavailable to friends, family loved one’s and the odd delivery driver should we wish to be contacted.
And this where digital communications wins, because all you do is port your landline number to a digital communications provider, like Digivoice, and calls to your landline number can be delivered to your mobile phone, you can also use your mobile to make calls from your home phone number. And if you wish you can still have a physical telephone at home.

And another advantage is that once your number is ported you won’t need to pay for line rental, expensive call packages and be tied into long term contracts, so as well as getting a better phone service with crystal clear call quality you will also be cutting down on your costs.

How do I get started?

It’s all pretty easy and straight forward really.
Give us a call, send an email or WhatsApp message to get the ball rolling. We will need some details from you to create an account and once those are confirmed we can configure your service.
It doesn’t take very long and you will soon receive an email from us with a link to configure your mobile app. Once you have downloaded the app you will be up and running instantly with your new digital voice service and able to enjoy all the benefits that will bring.
If you are having a physical handset then we will pre-configure it and have it delivered by courier. Once you receive it all you need to do is plug it into your router and you are good to go.
We will take care of moving your existing landline number over to us, this can take up to a couple of weeks depending on who the number is coming from, but in the meantime we will provide you with a temporary number to use so that you can get started straight away with your new service.
